Recently, COSCO Ocean Bulk Carrier Yuansui successfully completed the commissioning of the first medium-voltage shore power connection of a 400000-ton large ore ship in Qingdao Dongjiakou Port, and practiced the concept of green shipping with practical actions.
After receiving the instructions from the company, FSH immediately carried out relevant preparations. After the ship docked, three engineers boarded the ship for guidance, and the ship immediately began to conduct shore power commissioning.
After proper preparation, the onshore medium voltage power supply began, the medium voltage distribution board, medium voltage transformer and low voltage distribution board worked normally, and the onshore power supply continued to be used.
Considering the time required for the stability of the equipment and the preparation for navigation after the transfer of shore power to ship power, the ship stopped using shore power at 21:00 on the same day after the exchange and discussion between the ship and the shore. So far, the shore power connection and related commissioning work of Yuansui Sea Ferry have been completed, and the whole system operates smoothly and orderly during the connection period.

On February 11, the China Shipping Indian Ocean Ship successfully completed the shore power access test and successfully completed the conversion of shore power and ship power. After receiving the request of the China Shipping Indian Ocean Shipping Company, Ningbo Container Shipping Company closely communicated with the wharf and the China Shipping Indian Ocean Shipping Company, and actively coordinated the preparations for the shore power access test. The Ningbo Freight Forwarding Department shall, in advance, ask Meishan Wharf and the shipowner about the information of the shore power equipment, input and output voltage power, power supply capacity of the ship's auxiliary equipment, voltage level and frequency of the auxiliary equipment, confirm the feasibility of the shore power access test, and make various plans and preparations.
Through the joint efforts of all parties, the successful completion of the shore power access of the COSCO Indian Ocean liner has laid a solid foundation for COSCO to further promote the use of shore power at Meishan Terminal in the future.
